Smallest Thing That Sell

Don’t you just feel in awe when social media actually gives inspiration?

For a moment I wonder why I haven’t heard about it before. But forget about that why. I think we have some wisdom here to digest.

I’d like to generalize it a bit so people from other industry can better relate.

What is the smallest possible thing I would enjoy making that would sell?

The industry/genre/field of work can be anything as long it is something we are passionate about AND we have some capacity of getting it done.

Let’s try breaking it apart.

Smallest thing: start small and simple, avoid grandiosity. This phrase invites us to settle on things that we already have confident & prior knowledge instead of working on a big scope, long running but probably unproductive thing.

I would enjoy making: we can argue that the highest commitment someone can give to something is when they enjoy the process. We limit the scope to smallest thing, but it is still work and it will require commitment to be done. What better way to ensure ourselves that we will go through it by making sure we would enjoy making it?

Would sell well: this reminds us to also think about who would enjoy that small thing we planned. Helps us avoid being too ideological, keep our feet on the ground. Is there an audience?
